Here are the next five books on my TBR list. I write out my TBR in lists of five as I tend to deviate from book lists pretty easy. Another shiny cover catches my attention and I pick it up rather than what I had panned. I find if I plan five books at a time then I mostly finish them before moving on. Sometimes a book takes a bit longer, but overall it works out. All but one of my books on the list are science fiction/fantasy. It should be some good reading.

New Release Science Fiction
I planned on posting my next five books today. In a way I am. However, I found out that there is another reading challenge. This time it is a week long extra credit challenge for the O.W.L.s next April. It is, once again, hosted by Book Roast.
The full details can be found below in Book Roast's video. However, the general idea is that you have between October 8-14 to read between one and five books. For every book you finish you get to start an extra day early on your Charms test for the O.W.L.s.
Isn't that a brilliant idea? It is also a great way to keep the O.W.L.s going all year.
I just found out about the challenge today. Thankfully, the book I finished today totally counted for one of the categories, so I am doing good.
Here are the challenges.
Alohomora - First in a Series - Iron and Magic
Incendio - Word 'fire' or 'flame' in title/series name, or flame picture on cover - Ignite
Lumos - Book with a Light Cover - Crazy Rich Asians
Accio - Book that's top of your TBR - Magic Triumphs
Rictusempra - A book that tickle you the right way (exciting trape/theme/genre) - Space Opera
I have to admit that I have already made pretty good progress on this book list. I waited to post it because I am still finishing up one of my books from my last list. Yet, since I am almost finished reading all five of these books, I figured I had better just post this list already.
If you cannot tell, I am trying to catch up on some science fiction reading. I feel like I have neglected this genre. This is unexceptionable since science fiction is my favorite genre. Even though I am not a huge YA fan, I seem to have been sucked into a list of YA TBRs.
There will still be YA on my list, but I am hoping to catch up on some of the greats of science fiction.
