The O.W.L.s have come and gone and I have yet to do my official check in. (Original Post)
The end result - not so good.
I entered in a massive reading slump in the month of April. That is not a bad thing. I mean I have currently read 60 books this year. That is 27 books ahead of my goal.
A reading slump was due.
I just wish that it has not happen during the O.W.L.s. I think this challenge was great, and fully intended to participate to my utmost.
I mean I am totally a Hermione Granger. I once had a Professor in my graduate program take me outside to gently tell me that I had received a C on a paper. She knew I would take it hard. Do not worry too much, I aced the course. Yet, kids and work come well before reading.
Here is my original O.W.L.s goal. I was aiming for twelve books.
In total I read only seven books in April. (Yes, seven books in a month is my idea of a reading slump.) Of the six books three of them were original selections for the challenge. Three more were books that I picked up along the way.
I have decided that I am just really bad about picking a list of books to read and actually sticking to that list. Thankfully it does not bother me too much.
Either way all six books fit in nicely with my O.W.L. So, it means that I made it half way through. Not too bad, but no Hermione.
